Hope

I was feeling alone and down today, so I decided to go for a drive and treat myself to some scenery.

Just the sight of mountains was quite uplifting. They are very beautiful out here, majestic and mystical. I guess the way they stand and scrape the sky is what gives me that sense of hope. And the feeling of not knowing what is on the other side of the mountains can help to bring back some excitement.

Yes, mountains are quite hope-filled. I wonder if that's why they can be scary and intimidating in the dark. Perhaps because it reminds me that there is a future, but not being able to see it is a bit scary?

Committment

I am so sick of hearing,

"I like to be a fun, spontaneous person. Plus, life happens when you're making plans."

That's a pansy-ass way of saying "I don't like to be committed to anything."

Because sometimes you can also be planning to do something fun, right? Or even to just be there for a friend?

Do we really want to be there for each other?

If we don't, what's wrong?

Romance

Do we really need romance in our lives? Really?

Or are we just socialized to think that we do?
