Really?

"Love conquers all." ? I get tired of seeing that phrase on things so much, particularly if it's with a religious undertone. And if that's really the case, then why is love (not just romantic, but any kind of love) what this world lacks the most?

Three Decades

So I had my 30th birthday not too long ago and I survived it. I actually had fun celebrating with family and friends, and then took a trip with a girlfriend who also turns 30 this month. It has definitely been memorable celebrating, as I wanted it to be given that it is a significant birthday.

So I have survived three decades and hope to have many many more satisfying years of growth and experience. I am content in that I do not have any regrets; I really have lived a full life, taken risks, looked at failures as learning opportunities, and did the best I knew how with what I've had.

There's still a lot that I want to improve, and continue to grow and improve myself. I just have to continue to remind myself that:

Growth means change and change involves risks, stepping from the known into the unknown. -George Shinn.
