Some words of wisdom,

from a yoga teacher:

Relax your organs, thank them for working to keep you going all day.

Worrying is just meditating on the thing that you actually don't want to happen.

Reflect on your day, and remember there is no "good" day or "bad" day. And the "bad" days can really help you to truly appreciate the "good" days.

I'm going to try to remind myself of that. Allergy attacks really do allow me to embrace the days without them...

I try not to be a worrier, as I'm a natural optimist and also believe that worry is an appalling waste of energy (like regret and guilt). I don't always succeed, though.

Incidentally, I tried relaxing my organs, and ended up needing a new pair of trousers. Should I send you the laundry bill?

I know, isn't it funny how though we clearly know the benefits of not worrying, we still do it. Takes practice to do it significantly less than how you start...

Fine, send me the laundry bill. I guess I should be a good Hindu and take responsibilities for the ripple effects of my actions! ;)

The worst one is when you start worrying about how much time you spend worrying (my wife does this all the time). That's when you know it's time to call the charming gentlemen with the white coats and the nice bouncy rooms.
